The RAF Air Cadets - 1985 Flitwick Squadron Air Training Corps
The RAF Air Cadets, more commonly referred to as simply the Air Cadets, is a uniformed youth organisation sponsored by the Royal Air Force for young people aged between 12 and 20 years old.
We are an air, space, and cyber focussed organisation aiming to provide opportunities which will develop skills useful in both Military Service and Civilian life.
Cadets can apply to complete a Solo Gliding Scholarship when they reach age 16, and can go on to receive 12 hours private pilot training with the RAF.
We also provide opportunities to complete Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards, and take part in activities such as shooting & fieldcraft, adventurous training, drill & ceremonial, sports, and lots more!
1985 (Flitwick) Squadron meets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings between 19:15 and 21:30 at Ampthill Cadet Centre, Woburn Road, Ampthill, MK45 2HX.
